Meg Skeehan, they/them/their, is a Program Assistant in the Department of Accounting in the College of Business, and has worked a variety of jobs and served several roles on campus since starting at CSU in March 2013. Meg serves on the Classified Personnel Council as the Chair, representing state classified employees at Colorado State University, currently serving their 6th year on the council. Meg is a first-generation student working on a B.A. in Ethnic Studies and Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts while working fulling time at CSU utilizing the Employee Study Privilege. A recipient of the Outstanding Achievement award in spring 2020, Meg’s service and sustained commitment to the CSU community was recognized campus wide. Meg uses personal experience and knowledge, as well as new training and theory to help better serve the campus community. Meg has been involved widely in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion groups and efforts across campus over the years including: founding a Diversity Committee in Housing and Dining Services; participating in CDI since it’s inception in 2015; completing the Creating Inclusive Excellence Program; presenting at the Diversity Symposium; participating as a Visible Voices panelist through the PRIDE Resource Center. Rooted in a belief of identifying and working outside of performative allyship, Meg continues to focus on educating themselves to continue to grow and do the work necessary to bring true equity to campus, focused on centering the voices and experiences of BIPOC students, faculty, and staff.
